Lunch Date, Shopping, Fashion.

Hi, everyone!

Today I am staring at the cursor blinking at me, waiting for me to come up with something to say. But I got nothing to say and this got me thinking. Why do I feel I need to say something? Why does my brain search every crack and crevice of my being for inspiration.

Inspiration can come from anywhere at anytime and today, I want to share with you the fashions that inspire me.

When leaving the house, you don't have to be glamorous, But you must at least look cute! even in sweat pants.

I love clothes, the law states I have to wear them, so I might as well look decent.

I am not going to be posting brand names or prices with these items, they are for inspiration after all :)

I will be starting this off with a lunch date. whether it be a lover or meeting up with friends lunch is a very important meal. I mean you are taking time out of your day to eat with these people.

I love this look, so chic but yet comfortable. you can easily go from ale house to downtown in this look without effort. A big bag helps if you have to return to work after lunch or hide a secret pair of heels in case you stay till happy hour!!

Okay so, this is one of my favorite things to do. EVER! When I head out for a day of shopping there are a few rules I apply to make my day go smooth. I always wear a maxi dress they are so easy to get in and out of when trying stuff on. A good pair of flippy floppy's go great with any shoe department for those walk by try on kinda moments. A light jacket is a must for me, I always freeze in any store! I never go all out with my makeup, I keep my lips nude but glossed and my eyes are bright and awake with a good does of my favorite mascara. I always take a small bag with a wrist band on it, I hate being weighed down by shopping bags and my purse. I am going to buy new stuff, I don't wanna carry my old stuff. Almost forgot! Wear your best bra! keep the Tatas dry!!


I don't want this post to go on forever, so I leave you with lunch and shopping. I will cover dinner and dancing next time. What are some other events you would like to see me dress up for? work maybe? let me know! Until next time :)

Wow, where do I begin! I can't remember, maybe my memory is failing me haha. All I remember was it was a lipstick from a drug store and it wasn't mine! I was like 12 I think.

Blog Growth Updates

Hi everyone! today I am going to be sharing with you my social updates and how much my blogs a grown!

First I want to thank every follower for your support. It means so much to me I can hug everyone of you! So if I every see you in person expect a hug!

Twitter.

Twitter is probably the most easy of all social networks to use. I currently stand at 1,709 followers.

Facebook.

I have to admit, Facebook is my least favorite social network. I feel its all about advertising now, but thats just me. I currently have 257 friends on Facebook. I have 1,333 likes on the makeup squid fan page and I have 53 likes on the interwebschic fan page.

Instagram.

I like instagram, but it is kinda hard to keep up with because I have a personal one with family and friends that I am addicted too, I am not going to lie. On the makeup squid instagram I have 622 followers.

Pintrest.

Pintrest is something I use rarely. I know I should get more involved there, but with everything it often gets forgotten, so sad. I have 63 followers on pintrest.

Youtube.

This is my biggest dissapointment as I know if I keep up with it, it will grow. I currently have 206 subscribers on my YouTube channel. I love everyone of my subbies :)

Bloglovin.

Bloglovin is my favorite thing to look at when I am worried about my blog growth, it lets me know my blog is alive! For The Makeup Squid I have 286 followers. The interwebschic has 211 followers.

Update whats going on with me.

Well, as you know I am absent for a while. I haven't posted or edited a video in a long time, a real post or video that is.

The holidays and the move have taken their toll on me and the stress of starting over again has gotten the best of me. I have the ideas floating in my head but, getting in front of the laptop to actually write is another thing.

Its like I lost that drive I had when I would wake up and just start writing or have that aha! moment when I said I have to write this down before I forget. Where did it go? How do I get it back.

I feel it has a lot to do with my surroundings. My brushes haven't been cleaned in over a month, My makeup is on top of a makeshift vanity that is really a T.V. stand. My mirrors frame broke in the move and I am afraid to have it in the house, the kids might get hurt.

The new house is pretty old. It was built in 1941 and their are only four grounded outlets, so plugging something in to charge has become an issue and the outlets are prime real estate.

So with that I feel things are on hold. So I have been trying to find away to situate things so that I can get back to doing what I love. I honestly feel empty without my blog and YouTube. I miss everyone and reading what they have all been up to.

I feel like I am failing the makeup squid and I am losing her. I love her, she is my baby. She is me and I am her. I have to save her.

How to make people like you!

I want to share with you my thoughts on how to make people like you. I have been asked many times "how do I make friends?" or my favorite is "How do I make people like me."
The truth is you don't. You don't "make" people like you, they just do, like you, that is.
I would love to understand, how many people look down on themselves, I mean maybe that person isn't worthy of your friendship. Maybe, you should take a step back and say I deserve better then this person in my life.
If someone makes you feel bad or negative about yourself then they aren't your real friend and you shouldn't be stressing yourself about how to make them like you.

Make them like you.

If you have to make someone like you, then that friendship holds no value.

If you are changing your own thoughts, views and opinions to keep this person in your life, then something isn't right here.If they are causing you to lose yourself to gain them as a friend, then their friendship is false.

Self confidence.

I am not telling you to become a tyrant, but I am asking you to never forget your self worth.

Always remember who you are, where your going as well as where you came from.

You are a very special being, after all there is only one like you, there is no other.

Be true.

Be true to who you are. Your likes, dislikes and everything in between. Don't change for anyone, but yourself. You have to live with yourself for the rest of your life, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year for the rest of your days, don't lose one day of your life for someone who doesn't value you.

True or false.

A true friend will be there in good and bad times. They will not only listen, but actually hear what you have to say. This doesn't mean they have to understand or agree with you. A real friend will listen to you and tell you the truth by saying "I have no idea what you just said" or "I don't agree, but that's your view on the matter."

I don't want this post to drag on forever so in closing I am going to leave you with this.

Be you in all that you do. Let those around you see what they are missing. Know who you are and if you don't know that yet, that's o.k. We spend all our lives trying to find out who we are, why throw it all away on someone who doesn't appreciate it?

That's just my two cents on the matter.
