Wet N' Wild Mega Liner Liquid Eyeliner

Hello, My Beauties!

Today I just wanted to share a quick post with you all on a liner I recently purchased and immediately fell in love! I have never used a liquid liner before for a winged liner, I only used my liquid liners to blend in my falsies. I have been working with gel liners when it came to my wing and i decided it was time to step up my game, so i picked up some Wet N' Wild Mega Liner Liquid Eyeliner in black of course, they did have an electric blue but I know I am not ready for that just yet haha.

Wet N' Wild Mega Liner Liquid Eyeliner

I honestly thought this was a felt tip applicator, as I feel that would have been an easier transition for me from a gel liner, but when I got home and opened the bottle, I find out it is a felt tip that acts very much like a fine brush tip. Dont get me wrong, this didn't discourage me, but I know I have to be extra careful when using this product.

It goes on very wet, so there is room for error, but it dries matte which is a big plus for me, I love my mattes!
I also noticed that after I swatched my hand around 10 -15 minutes later, after it looked dry I swiped the swatch and it moved creating a smear. So I know I will have to set this with a black eye shadow.

I did like that it did not flake or give me those snake scales I usually get from liquid liners.
This is new to me, so I will see how it does, wish me luck!

MOTD and Other Stuff

Hello, beautiful!

I can't believe the first week of April is coming to a close already. I hope our summer doesn't zip by us this quickly. I wanted to share my motd (makeup of the day) with you all, I tried a new MAC quad  I received that belonged to my cousin and it didn't work for her, so I gave it a new home and have been loving it. I am not going to lie its pretty beat up, but not from use, just from being thrown in a makeup bag that hasn't been cleaned, I think ever! She loves makeup don't get me wrong, but I don't think she has ever had a vanity or something like it. Anyhoo, on to this motd.

MOTD

I wanted a natural finish with a touch of drama and the drama is always in my eyes.

I primed my eye with UD Primer Potion.
I applied Mac Luna colour base in frost to my eyes.

I went in with Brash (VP) from Mac all over the lid.
Nanogold (L) went in the outer corner.
Spiced Chocolate (M) in the crease.

I smudged some UD 24/7 in zero on the lash line.
Applied Sonia Kashuk Gel liner in Ebony to add depth on the lash line.

I blended Spiced Chocolate and ebony to the lower lash line.
I finished with a coat of Clump Crusher my favorite mascara.

This is a limited edition Palette and is no longer on the MAC website .

For my face I did my usual.

Primer: CoverGirl & Olay simply ageless serum primer.
Base: L'oreal Magic Skin Beautifier BB cream.
Foundation: Makeup For Ever Matte Velvet +.
Highlight: CoverGirl & Olay simply ageless eye corrector.
Concealer: Maybelline Fit Me.
Setting powder: Sue Devitt triple C-weed pressed powder.
Contour: Smashbox MC2 Palette suntan bronzer.
Blush: Smashbox MC2 Palette Apricot.
Highlighter: Smashbox MC2 Palette Shimmer.
Lips: Revlon Colorstay lipstick in Front Row
Lip liner: MAC Nightmoth.

I love this look and my new, but recently loved palette.

Stila in the moment eye shadow palette

Hi everyone! I hope everyone is doing well and the weather has been kind.

The Makeup Squid has gone through some changes recently and I hope you like them.

Today I will be going through a new palette I picked up recently through my adventures in makeup land.
I will admit this was a impulse buy. No thought, rhyme or reason here, just sheer madness.

This is actually my second Stila purchase, so I am pretty excited!

First of all I love the little quotes inside of these palettes cute and inspiring.
Sarah Lucero is a makeup artist you can read about her at sarahluceromakeup.com
If she had anything to do with the palette itself is unknown to me.

This palette boasts 10 colors and includes a eye liner.
The casing is card board. It has a very slim and sleek design it comes in a shimmery Lilac color.

The palette includes a full size Liner in a Purple shade called "Tetra".

The liner is a deep plum shade and had lavender glitter flecks in it.
The first swatch is with firm pressure, the second with a more light hand.
This stick applies smooth and does not tug on the skin.
It is a full sized and self sharpening.

The First Five Shadows

Instinct is a very shimmery white shade great for the inner eye area and brow bone highlight.

Impulse is a beautiful light shimmery pink, great for adding dimension to the center of the eye.

Glance is a Very fun and dramatic purple, great for a nice pop of color on any smokey eye.

Improvise is a deep plum shade with some shimmer in it, this color is a great crease color.

Catalyst is a soft black with flecks of silver here and there, great for a softer eye look.

These shadows were applied with a finger and no primer.

The Second Five Shadows

Desire is a lovely barley there color, great for blending and softening lines.

Wonder is a gorgeous peach shimmer that can be worn alone for a wash of color or as a accent color.

Spontaneous is a beautiful champagne shimmer that is perfect drawing attention to the eyes.

Whim is a brown/copper shimmer with gold flecks, worn alone or with others this is a great shadow.

Captivate is an amazing taupe shimmer color perfect for the crease or outer V.

These shadows were applied with a finger and no primer.

This palette includes a lookbook with some amazing looks.

The Round Up

The Pros

Colors blend well
High color payoff
Good color range
Liner included
Cute case
LookBook

The Cons

No matte shades

Final Thoughts

Even though I did not have my sites set on this palette, I am glad I picked it up.
Even though I have a thing for mattes I know I will be grabbing this palette to add a touch of shimmer and sparkle to many eye looks.

This product was purchased with my own money.
All thoughts and views expressed are my own.

Adventures in winged eye liner

Okay, I admit it. I have a problem flicking, Winging, Cat eyeing my eyes. I think I have a lazy eye that is to lazy to be a real lazy eye. My eyes are different from one another and they are hooded. Over the years I have come up with personal ways to correct this with the illusion of eye shadow.

My eyes are hooded also adding to my problems, I'm not saying I hate my eyes, Because I don't.
I am actually very happy with them once they are done the way I like them. However I do have a problem with a winged liner. You see, right at the outer corner of my eye they take a dip for the worse.

It has taken me years and a lot of trial and error to perfect this and get it down. I am not saying this method is the way everyone should do it. But it works for me to achieve the Look I want.

Some Products I have used to achieve my wing:

Milani Eye Tech Liner
MakeupForever Liquid Aqua Liner

I love the Milani EYE TECH Liquid Liner. It goes on matte, the formula does get dry fast, so what I do is dab some on the back of my hand and dip is into the liquid then apply. It has wonderful staying power although it isn't as dark as I would like it to be, But that isn't nothing a black eye shadow on top wont handle.

Milani.com says: Full color flow thru system that delivers & defines a perfect line in one stroke. Felt tip nib applicator is easy to use, provides precise control with no skipping or pulling.

I do have a problem with the MakeupForever Liquid Aqua Liner. It is too shiny and it makes my liner looked like black wrinkled foil. It does irritate My eye some but Learned to use it as a sealer for my false lashes to cover and blend any unevenness pertaining to my lashes. It does last forever and a day.

Makeupforever.com says: Rich in polymers, this superior eyeliner offers an impeccable hold that guarantees water-, tear-, and smudge-proof color. Its ergonomic, foam-tip applicator is designed to resemble a makeup brush handle for the quickest, easiest, and most accurate application.

Some of my buddies from Youtube have suggested I do a tutorial on how I wing my liner. But it isn't an actual wing, I like to call it an illusion of a wing. I will be calling the tutorial "How to fake a cat eye".

I hope it will be useful and helpful to some people who find this hard or difficult to do.
After all that's what makeup is right? Mute this, emphasize that? So that's what I am doing today.

Once I get the Video up I will be adding a Link to it on this Post. Wish me Luck!

Have you tired these liners?
What are your thought on them?

Thanks for stopping by, May all your looks be flawless! :)
