DON'T GIVE UP

Dont give Up

Hello, My Beauties!

Today I want to touch on a subject that hits every one of us every so often, especially in the blogging community. Discouragement. It hits us when things don't go as planned, when we don't get visits,  comments or likes on our instagram photos. So today I want to tell you with a big loud voice,

DON'T GIVE UP

Blogging isnt easy and anyone who claims it is, is a big poop head.
It is hard to keep up with all the trends and with blogging you need to remain relevant to just to stay in the game. You have to become a social media whore and pimp yourself out anyway you can, if not you get lost in a sea of people doing the exact same thing.

Dont give up

BLOGGING DRAMA

I don't care who you are or where you're from there will always be some kind of drama, she said this, she did that. Don't let it get you down. Don't allow it to swallow you up. The truth is I feel this is a tactic used by the powers that be to test us, to weed out the weaker fish, like any competitive market, there are sharks out there. Don't be anyones bait.

dont give up

IT'S YOUR BLOG

Run it how you see fit regardless of what anyone may say. You blog for you, not for them. You like writing about fishtail braids and snails, write about it. Don't be afraid to be who you are. I have three blogs that I run TheMakeupSquid.com a beauty blog, TheRelationshipDaily a relationship blog and Interwebschic.com a blogging advice blog. I don't post to them all the time, because I have a family and a life outside of blogging. Yes I have every intention of becoming a (super hero and saving the world) Professional blogger and do this for a living, but I am not going to sacrifice my life or family for it.

dont give up

PATIENCE

Time is needed to grow a blog with an active audience, now is the time for you to make as many mistakes as you can. while nobody is looking. this is the perfect time for you to decide if you like your blog name, the direction its taking, the design, the layout etc. Test a new commenting system, that type of thing. You have your own spot on the web, have at it. In time your audience will grow. Don't be a social media psycho. Tweet. instagram, pin a few things a day and move on. I have most of my social medias linked so a few tweets and I covered all my social medias in one fell swoop.

Dont give up

THE HARD PART IS OVER

You created the blog, so you're out there in the world, so don't stop now. Don't let them (whoever they are) win. Screw them where the sun don't shine and you keep writing and let your passions fly. You're here might as well russel a few feathers. If you have haters or peers who just don't like you. Good! that means your doing something right.

HI Laurie! Thank goodness I haven't come across any drama around my blog.. Thank goodness because I like to keep things Drama free.; I enjoyed this post as I have been having trouble posting my usual schedule these past two weeks. I hope to get things going steady again! 4. Great post. It is easy to get discouraged, but we just need to pick ourselves back up, dust ourselves off and keep going.

  8. Hi Laurie, this is something that I was feeling a few weeks ago, as I was looking at all these amazing blogs and feeling a little deflated that I didn't get the quantity of comments they do, and I know I let my home life suffer as I was constantly on twitter or Facebook etc!

Then I took a step back and realised that as you say, this is my blog and I can do what I want and when I want, so it has made me feel much better, and I really shouldn't compare myself with other bloggers!

    Thanks for sharing :)

  10. I love this post so much! It is so easy to feel discouraged and like your voice isn't being heard in the blogging community. This is great advice that we all need to hear. Thank you!
